Ben Beitin, PhD, LMFT
Dr. Ben Beitin has been a marriage and family therapist, clinical supervisor, and faculty and program coordinator for more than 20 years. He completed a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at Fairfield University and a doctorate in Marriage and Family Therapy at Virginia Tech. He has been providing treatment services to individuals, couples, and families for a range of presenting problems for over two decades.
He has held several faculty positions and served as Program Director in MFT programs. He has been training therapists in a systemic approach to treatment and has supervised a diverse range of people seeking to become counselors and family therapists. He has also presented at national, state, and local conferences on topics such as immigration and mental health, family health, and interviewing methodology. He has published articles in top tier journals and book chapters in the field of family therapy.
Dr. Beitin has also been active in advocacy at the local and state levels in New Jersey. In 2005, he was appointed by Governor Codey to the New Jersey State Board of Marriage and Family Therapy Examiners and served as Chairperson for several years. He has served as a consultant to several local mental health and substance abuse agencies.
Dr. Beitin is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, an AAMFT Approved Supervisor, and an AAMFT Clinical Fellow.
